Life Care Center of Morgan County in Wartburg, Tennessee, recently won the Business Development Award of Excellence for Life Care Centers of America’s Cumberland Region.
On Jan. 9, 2019, Life Care’s Eastern Division held a banquet at the company’s headquarters in Cleveland, Tennessee, bestowing honors on one skilled nursing and rehab facility per each of its four regions.
Life Care Center of Morgan County was nominated for educating local home health and hospice agencies on how they can admit patients directly to the facility instead of sending them to the hospital.
Jesse Rodd, director of business development at the center, shared that admitting directly from home helps patients avoid unnecessary trips to the hospital. It is also cheaper for patients and allows them to start rehabilitation faster.
“Winning this award was a very satisfying accomplishment,” said Rodd. “I’m surrounded by a great marketing team that works so hard every day.”
